Burnley have confirmed full-back Matt Lowton will leave the club at the end of his contract this summer.
Lowton has made more than 200 appearances for the Clarets since arriving at Turf Moor from Aston Villa in the summer of 2015.
He was part of the side that won the Championship title in 2016 and also represented the club in the Europa League during the 2018/19 campaign.
Lowton has spent the past few months on loan at Huddersfield, making nine appearances in total for the Terriers.
The 33-year-old told the club website: “It’s just a huge thank you to everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
“I’m glad we’ve had so much success and that we’ve brought the fans down to Turf Moor every week in their numbers.
“If you’re from Burnley - you’re a massive Burnley fan. It means so much to the town and with the culture here I grasped that straight away.
“The fans have been great with me and my family over the years and I was happy to repay them. Hopefully I did on the pitch by giving them 100 per cent.”
He added: “We’ve seen this season it’s been unbelievable and hopefully I’ll be coming back and watching them in the future.
“I hope it goes from strength to strength because the love I have for this club - I can’t really put it words.”
Lowton isn’t the only experienced player leaving Turf Moor this summer. Last week, it was announced that fan favourite Ashley Barnes will be joining Norwich on a two-year deal once his Burnley contract expires at the end of June.
The Clarets have already been linked with a number of players as they prepare for their return to the Premier League. Among those is Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga, who played under Vincent Kompany at Anderlecht.
