Burnley achieved promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking last night following a 2-1 win away at Middlesbrough.
The Clarets saw their six-season stay in the Premier League come to an end last year following relegation but, in his first season at the club, manager Vincent Kompany has led them back to the top flight.
Despite a massive squad overhaul at the start of the season and a relatively slow start to the campaign, Burnley have looked like promotion contenders for much of the way and were promoted with seven games to spare – a record since the Championship was rebranded in 2004/05.

Fantastic achievement!
With promotion now sealed, all eyes will be on Burnley securing the Championship title, and they will have the perfect opportunity to pull even further away at the top when they host second-place Sheffield United on Monday (April 10).
A win would put the Clarets 14 points clear with only six games left to play, meaning they could need only two more games to go up as champions.
After hosting the Blades, they have successive away trips to Reading and Rotherham United, host Queens Park Rangers, and then finish off with trips to local rivals Blackburn Rovers and then Bristol City.
