The EFL have confirmed the date of the Championship play-off final.

The game at Wembley will take place on Saturday, May 27, though a kick-off time is yet to be confirmed.

The League Two final will be held on Sunday, May 28 (1pm kick-off) and the League One final will take place on Monday, May 29 (3pm).

The play-off semi-final dates will be confirmed closer to the time, however, the final round of Championship matches will now be played on Monday, May 8.

It follows the switching of those games, which will all be 3pm kick-offs, to the Bank Holiday Monday to the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III taking place on Saturday, May 6.

Then, Rovers head to Millwall where they will round off their regular Championship season.

Both currently sit in the top six spots, and looking to cement a play-off  place in the remaining weeks of the season.

Rovers were denied a trip to Wembley with defeat in their FA Cup quarter final at Sheffield United last weekend, but will have eyes on reaching the national stadium, for the first time since 1995, in the play-offs.

Rovers finished eighth last season, missing out on the play-offs that were eventually won by Nottingham Forest.

They overcame Huddersfield Town in the final, with Sheffield United and Luton Town missing out in the semi-finals.

Last season, the Championship final was the middle of the three finals, with Forest winning 1-0 courtesy of a Levi Colwill own goal.

That came 12 days after the semi-finals were completed.
