Rovers have been handed a trip to Sheffield United in the quarter finals of the FA Cup.
The reward for the fifth round win over Leicester City is a trip to Bramall Lane to face the Blades who beat Tottenham Hotspur to book their place in the last eight.
The tie will be played on the weekend of March 18/19, with the winner booking their spot in the semi-finals which will be played at Wembley.
The other ties will see Manchester City host Burnley, Manchester United host Fulham, while League Two side Grimsby Town face a trip to Fulham.
Rovers were last out of the hat and were handed a trip to Bramall Lane, with the teams meeting each other this weekend at Ewood Park in the Championship. The Blades won the reverse fixture 3-0 in August.
They have met four times previously in the FA Cup, most recently in the quarter finals of 1992/93, the Blades eventually winning through on penalties after the original tie, and replay, ended all square.
The Blades will be the third Championship side Rovers have faced in this season's competition, having already overcome Norwich City and Birmingham City.
They beat the Foxes in impressive fashion on Tuesday night, with the Blades overcoming Spurs 1-0 after a goal from substitute Iliman Ndiaye.
