West Brom boss Carlos Corberan admits his side’s 1-1 draw against Rovers feels like “two points lost”.

The Baggies thought they had won it when Jayson Molumby opened the scoring 17 minutes from time with a header from close range.

But Ben Brereton got Rovers back on level terms at the death, beating Josh Griffiths with a thumping free kick.

Corberan felt his side were more likely to get the next goal at 1-0 but says they didn’t manage the game well enough in the final stages.

He told BBC Radio WM Sport: “(I am) very disappointed with the result because the team in the second half, we performed how we need to perform.

“We did what we have to do, and for me we were closer to scoring the second goal than conceding.

“Of course, when you play against players with quality you need to manage the game. I think in only one action in the second half, we didn’t have good game management.

“We put the ball in the middle of the pitch, but it needs to be with the keeper and we need to find other solutions.

“It was maybe the only mistake we made in the second half and that mistake was two points that we lost.”

The result leaves Rovers eighth in the Championship table – only a point behind sixth-place Watford, who have played an extra game at this stage.

Meanwhile, West Brom find themselves in 10th place and have taken one point from their last couple of fixtures.

Jon Dahl Tomasson’s men are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Swansea City to Ewood Park (3pm).

Rovers ran out 3-0 winners when the sides met back in August, with Brereton, Sam Szmodics and Lewis Travis getting on the scoresheet that day.
