Wout Weghorst is determined to make an impact after joining Manchester United on loan from Burnley.
The Dutch international will spent the rest of the season at Old Trafford after ending his stay in Turkey with Besiktas.
Weghorst arrived at Turf Moor 12 months ago and scored twice in 20 appearances as the Clarets were relegated from the Premier League last season.
He also bagged a brace in a 3-2 defeat against Argentina in the World Cup quarter-final last month after coming off the bench.
“I feel privileged to be joining Manchester United,” Weghorst told the club’s website. "I’ve played against the club in the past and it’s a fantastic feeling to now have the chance to pull on the famous red shirt.
“I’ve seen United’s progress under Erik ten Hag this season and can’t wait to start playing my part in pushing the team towards its aims.
''Whatever happens in the next few months, I can promise to give everything to the club for as long as I am here.
''I thank everyone who has played a part in getting me to this stage, and now I am looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and getting involved straight away.''
Weghorst could make his debut when United head to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Burnley youngster Dara Costelloe has joined League Two side Bradford City on loan until the end of the campaign.
The 20-year-old has played six times for the Clarets this season, including four appearances in the Championship.
“I am delighted to be here and cannot wait to get started. I am ready to go,” he told the club’s website.
The fanbase is great here, and I am looking forward to getting out there and playing in front of them on the pitch.
“I am a hard worker and will run myself into the ground and get my fair share of goals as well. I want to help the club achieve promotion.”
Mark Hughes’ side are currently fifth in the League Two table ahead of this afternoon’s trip to Wimbledon.
