The latest Championship ‘supercomputer’ has tipped Burnley to clinch the Championship title this season.

Vincent Kompany’s men currently sit at the top of the table, having lost just once since the start of the campaign.

The Clarets have won four of their last five matches following Saturday’s dramatic comeback against Reading at Turf Moor.

The predicted table is based on a wide range of data from the season so far via football statistics website FiveThirtyEight.

Burnley are tipped to finish top of the table come the end of the campaign, finishing just ahead of Sheffield United.

Norwich, Watford, QPR and Millwall are all predicted to finish in the play-off places, with Swansea and Blackburn just missing out.

Meanwhile, the likes of Birmingham, Preston, Middlesbrough and West Brom are all expected to finish mid-table.

At the wrong end of the table, Huddersfield, Rotherham and Hull are all predicted to be relegated to the third tier, with Wigan narrowly beating the drop.

The Clarets finished top during the 2015/16 campaign, losing just five matches all season including a memorable 23-game unbeaten run.
