Stanley boss John Coleman says Bolton Wanderers have “a wealth of talent” and admits it is difficult to predict their starting line-up.
The Whites make the short trip to the Wham Stadium on the back of a 3-0 win against Leeds United Under-21s in the Papa Johns Trophy.
Ian Evatt’s men have failed to score in their last three league matches, and Coleman believes both sides are “desperate to get back on track”.
He told the club’s website: “We know this will be another hard challenge but these are the games where we generally improve and hopefully we can rise to the occasion.
“Both us and Bolton are desperate to get back on track and scoring goals in the league. I think neither of us have scored in the last two league games so it could be a 0-0 - or a 5-5!
“We know the wealth of talent they have in their squad and it will be difficult for anyone to pick their starting XI for Saturday.
“The first goal is vital in most game these days, it’s not always the case but it has such a bearing on how the game pans out and we are desperate to get it.”
Coleman's men recorded a 1-0 victory when the sides met at the Wham Stadium last term, with Tommy Leigh getting the decisive goal during the first half.
The Stanley chief added: “Those will count for nothing. It’s a big game for us and a big game for them as well.
“It’s all about taking your chances which we haven’t been able to do in the last two league games but the more you create, the better chance you have of scoring.”
Nathan Delfouneso could come up against his former club, having featured in the 3-2 win against Liverpool Under-21s in midweek as he continues to build up his sharpness.
The experienced forward was one of several players released by Bolton over the summer after a two-year spell at the club.
Coleman also confirmed that midfielder Joe Pritchard is available for the fixture but says there are “one or two little niggles” in the squad.
The Reds are currently 17th in the table and suffered a 3-0 defeat against Derby County in their last league outing.
