CRAIG West endured the thrills and spills of a Turf Moor cup final as he helped Briercliffe Rovers to glory.
The thrills for the Rovers keeper came in the dramatic penalty shoot-out when he saved the decisive spot-kick - enabling team-mate Eddie Smillie to fire home the sudden death winner.
The spills coming mid-way through the first half when he dropped a routine cross on a rain-soaked pitch to gift Michael Woodvine the simplest of tap-ins.
It appeared that error would give Fulledge the league and cup double until Rovers won a penalty five minutes from time - which Alex Durkin dispatched.
West went on to make two crucial last minute saves to more than make up for his blunder to force extra time.
Extra time started at a frantic pace, with Fulledge winger Alex Beet forcing a smart save out of West before Dale Hartley flashed a shot across goal at the other end.
Briercliffe were then reduced to 10 men when Luke Jackson reacted angrily to a Woodvine challenge.
But West again came to the rescue with two fantastic late saves to deny Ryan Corvino and Woodvine to take the game to penalties.
Rovers gained an immediate advantage when Colts centre-back Michael Bradshaw blazed over before Durkin converted from the spot for the second time.
But that advantage was soon wiped out when Rovers striker Declan Hughes hit the post after Tom Orrell had put Colts on the scoresheet.
Both sides exchanged spot-kicks, with Jack Johnson, Beet and Sam Cross all scoring for Colts and Bradley Howarth, Jason Barrowclough and Dale Hartley doing likewise for Rovers to force sudden death.
It was there that Rovers regained the initiative when West beat away Tommy Patton's spot-kick and that advantage was hammered home by Smillie to clinch victory.
It was a dramatic end to a thrilling cup final.
Fulledge bossed the first-half, with Woodvine, Callum Vaughan and Corvino all forcing saves out of West who then spilled Johnson's cross that Woodvine converted to give Fulledge a half time lead.
After the break, Rovers went in search of an equaliser.
Hughes twice went close, Ben Whitham had a shot cleared off the line and Colts keeper Jordan Gidley saved from Hartley.
And when the increasingly influential Barrowclough smashed a sweetly struck volley into the side netting, it appeared the chance had gone.
But with time ticking away, Hughes slid a pass through to Whitham who was up-ended in the area.
Durkin scored to set up the thrills and spills which were to follow.
