A TEAM of young footballers fly to Spain tomorrow to compete in a five-day soccer tournament, following a recent wave of success.
Nelson FC's under 13s squad, which formed at the start of last season, will play for the Lloret Trophy in Lloret De Mar.
Last year, they won the Fair Play Trophy in Copa Pentecostas against teams from all over Europe.
The side finished third in the Blackburn, Hyndburn and Darwen League last season.
They missed out on second place only because of goal difference.
The team's rapid success has been noticed by teams such Accrington Stanley and Bolton Wanderers, according to manager Mark Whitaker.
