Mark Hughes has spoken of his relief that Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn's calf injury is not as bad as first feared.
Dunn was forced to miss last weekend's 1-0 victory at Newcastle United because of the problem which flared up in training.
But the 28-year-old was yesterday handed a major boost ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash against Fulham following positive scan results.
There is now a possibility that Dunn could be available to face the struggling Cottagers in two days time.
That will come as a huge boost to Hughes, who was glowing in praise for Dunn following his last game for Rovers, when he produced an energetic man-of-the-match display in the 4-1 win over Bolton on February 24.
"He was scanned and it was a decent scan from our point of view," said Hughes.
"I do not think he will be out for any length of time. Hopefully, he will be available this week."
