Burnley have reportedly reached an agreement to sign highly-rated Chelsea left-back Ian Maatsen on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old is a Netherlands Under-21 international and spent time on loan at Coventry City last season, making 40 appearances for the Sky Blues.
Maatsen is set for a medical and the move could be completed by the weekend, according to a report by The Athletic.
The youngster joined Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in 2018 and made his senior debut in a 7-2 win against Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup a year later.
He has two years left on his deal at Stamford Bridge and can also play in a more advanced role on the left flank.
The report claims Maatsen was targeted by a host of clubs in the UK and abroad but was convinced by Vincent Kompany to head to East Lancashire.
Burnley have also been linked with a loan move for Manchester City youngster Liam Delap.
Kompany has already brought in Taylor Harwood-Bellis and CJ Egan-Riley from his former club this summer.
But the Clarets could face competition from Southampton, who are reportedly interested in a permanent deal for the 19-year-old.
Delap was part of the England Under-19 side that won the European Championships earlier this month, coming off the bench in the final against Israel.
He made five appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side last season including a 5-0 win against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League.
