BOURNEMOUTH boss Scott Parker has played down the pressure on his side ahead of their clash with Rovers.
Parker’s men are second in the Championship table – just three points ahead of Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield as the promotion battle continues to hot up.
Tony Mowbray has suggested his side might be able to make the Cherries “nervous” and take advantage of that.
Rovers enter the game in eighth place – three points off the top six as they bid to keep their play-off hopes alive.
"I’d be saying exactly the same if I was Tony," he told the Daily Echo. "The pressure is not on Blackburn in any way and the pressure is on us.
"It is how we perceive pressure. I don’t see it as pressure. I see pressure the other way. I see pressure of being in eighth and not having the opportunity. This is not pressure for me.
"This is exactly why we started the season. This is exactly why we get up every morning and work as hard as we work, to have an opportunity.
"And that is the biggest thing for me, to get an opportunity. We have an opportunity and we need to embrace that and understand that.
Bournemouth have had some good news on the injury front ahead of their trip to Ewood Park, with Norwich loanee Todd Cantwell and Jordan Zemura both back in contention.
Parker added: “There are no fresh injuries. Todd Cantwell trained for the first time today after a back injury.
“JZ has been back on the grass for a couple of days as well, so he can come into play for the weekend.
“Other than that, everyone else has come through the Swansea game fine.”
