Clitheroe surrendered a lead last night against Wakefield to slump to a 2-1 defeat.
Paul Osborne scored after eight minutes for the Blues, and defenders Jonathan Smith and Ian Flannery put up strong resistance to keep their advantage until the break.
But a mistake by keeper James Mann in the second half allowed substitute Sam Denton to equalise.
And, three minutes from time, Denton grabbed the winner from a Wakefield corner when he flicked the ball into the net.
