Blackburn Rovers keeper Jason Brown has now officially signed a new three-year deal, which ties him to the club until the summer of 2011.
"We are very pleased to get that deal done because Mark Hughes feels he has a bright future," said chairman John Williams.
"In the current climate, retention of players is absolutely crucial to our long-term strategy."
