ROVERS were again left ruing missed chances as they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
Josh Laurent got the decisive goal 12 minutes from time, beating Thomas Kaminski with a composed finish.
Tony Mowbray's men have now failed to score in their last seven matches on the road, losing five of those.
Here's what fans had to say about the game.
well at least the playoff dream was fun whilst it lasted

Apart from November and December (worst home defeat in the club’s history aside) this season has just been more of the same old stuff from Mowbray. No doubt our form will pick up when play offs are out of reach last couple of games of the season

Story of the season lads, never take our chances x

Tuesday night. Back 5 didn’t work so we went to a back 4 and looked good, so of course against one of the third worst team in the division we revert to the back 5 and again look horrendous first half. It baffles me.

They had a lot more chances than us. If we want to go off chances not taken then we could have been 3 or 4 down at half time if it wasn’t for TK. Rut goes on… playoffs seeming less and less likely by the game👎🏼 hopefully 2 weeks away will do us good.

Can we wave goodbye to the playoffs?
— Chris Martin (@ChrisMartin_93) March 19, 2022
Not yet. Anything can happen.
Is it a lot harder now? For sure.
Will we actually get into them?
On our recent form, absolutely not.#Rovers
not a lot else to say except thats our playoffs hopes over. if were not beating these we have no chance for the rest of the season
