Andrew Flintoff is setting out on a search for a future England hero by establishing a series of cricket academies for kids around the country this summer.
The 30-year-old England all-rounder has used his time rehabilitating from a persistent ankle problem to implement a series of coaching clinics.
They have been organised with the help of Lancashire team-mate Luke Sutton, who has experience of similar camps through his work with kids adventure camp company Activate Sport during the winter.
Flintoff will visit every one of the camps, having fitted the schedule around his cricket commitments with Lancashire and England, and they will be open to boys and girls aged seven to 16 with 22 places at every venue being given to under-privileged children.
Flintoff said: "The game has been very good to me and I'm very passionate about cricket and this is a way for me to put a little bit back in,"
