Lewis Travis has signed a new long-term contract with Rovers.

Travis has agreed a four-and-a-half year contract with the club which takes him through to 2026.

The 24-year-old has been a virtual ever present in the side this season, missing only one game, and is closing in on 150 appearances for the club since making his debut in 2018.

Travis is the latest Rovers player to sign a new contract with the club, following on from Sam Gallagher and Thomas Kaminski.

Talks have been ongoing for some time, despite the Academy graduate still having 18 months, plus a 12-month option, left to run on the deal he signed in 2019.

They have now reached a positive conclusion, with Travis committing his long-term future to the club.

In an interview earlier this month Travis outlined that Rovers is the perfect platform for him to achieve his aim of playing in the Premier League.

He said: “I’d say so. I want to play in the Premier League one day and the platform we’ve got this year, and the chance we’ve got, I’m not sure we’ll get a better chance.

“I always say that wearing the captain’s armband when Darragh is out is something I like, I see myself as a loud voice on the pitch.

“I love it here and this is a really good chance to progress all of our careers.”
