BURNLEY head south to take on Brentford in a massive fixture in the Premier League relegation battle.
The Clarets suffered a convincing 4-0 defeat against Chelsea in their last outing after goals from Reece James, Christian Pulisic and a Kai Havertz brace.
Team news
Burnley captain Ben Mee remains sidelined with a shin injury, with Nathan Collins likely to start in defence.
Erik Pieters and Johann Berg Gudmundsson are also unavailable due to injury, while Saturday’s game may come too soon for Dale Stephens.
Matej Vydra – who recently returned to training following hernia surgery – has suffered a dislocated elbow.
Opposition lowdown
Thomas Frank’s are currently 15th in the Premier League table – six points ahead of the Clarets, who have played two games fewer.
The Bees enter the game on the back of a 3-1 victory at Norwich, with all three goals coming from Ivan Toney.
Burnley have faced Brentford 31 times in their history, with a record of 13 wins, 10 draws and eight defeats.
The Clarets recorded a 3-1 win when the sides last met down south thanks to goals from Scott Arfield, Joey Barton and George Boyd.
Last meeting
Burnley’s first league win of the season came against Brentford following a 3-1 victory at Turf Moor back in October.
Chris Wood put the Clarets in front after just four minutes before Matt Lowton added a second with a clinical header.
Maxwel Cornet wrapped up the result with a stunning strike nine minutes before the break, with Saman Ghoddos pulling one back in the second half.
