Two Rovers are now one yellow card away from a suspension, with three games to go before the next cut-off point.
Lewis Travis received his ninth booking of the season late on in the QPR game for a foul on Rob Dickie.
It is now five bookings in nine Championship appearances in 2022 for the combative midfielder who is close to a two-game ban.
John Buckley’s faces the same fate, the midfielder unused against QPR for only the second time this season, both against the same opposition.
The 22-year-old actually has 11 bookings in his 34 appearances this season, but cards are now specific to each competition.
Buckley has nine Championship bookings, as well as one each in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, which means like Travis, he is one away from a two-match suspension.
They will need to avoid another card before the end of the 37th fixture, the Bristol City game on March 12, if they aren’t to serve a suspension.
The number required for a ban then increases to 15 in the normal season, with no extension for the play-offs.
Darragh Lenihan, sent off in Rovers’ defeat to Nottingham Forest, is two away from a suspension, as is Joe Rothwell.
Jan Paul van Hecke and Ben Brereton have both been booked seven times.
Rovers have collected 78 yellow cards this season, already more than last season, and the second most in the division behind Cardiff City. They have also had four red cards.
