Derek Riordan's agent claims the Celtic striker is interested in discussing a permanent move to Burnley.
Riordan has been unable to hold down a place in the Celtic side this season.
Agent Jim McArthur told BBC Scotland that Riordan is also being pursued by five clubs who want to take him on loan.
"But if he's to go it must be on a permanent basis," said McArthur.
"I'm sure it would suit all parties if an agreement could be reached.
"The only club to have made an official offer is Burnley for £400,000 plus add-ons.
"Derek would be very keen to speak with them if an agreement was reached."
