BURNLEY suffered a 1-0 defeat against Liverpool despite a spirited performance at Turf Moor.
Fabinho scored the decisive goal, slotting home from close range after the Clarets had failed to deal with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s corner.
Wout Weghorst and Jay Rodriguez both missed good chances at the other end as Dyche’s men failed to end their winless run.
Here's what fans had to say about the match.
Pieters, Brownhill and Weghorst (finishing apart) were outstanding today. I'm certainly not giving up on the season just yet! #twitterclarets #utc

There wasn’t one bad performance in the Claret & Blue today but Lennon & Brownhill we’re class! Unlucky not to get the draw we definitely warranted.

Still plenty of games to go & a lot could happen, onwards & upwards, roll on Brighton 💪🏽 #twitterclarets
Decent performance from us today, but the gap grows again. Our lack of goals is gonna cost us I feel. #twitterclarets

Played well today and restricted a quality side to scraps, unfortunately it's about putting the ball in the net and we don't manage to do it enough #twitterclarets

The lads worked hard once again. Created chances that you have to convert at PL level.

Really happy with Weghorst's work rate.
Don't know what is up with Dwight. He looked a bit out of his depth?
Brownhill MOM for me.#twitterclarets #BURLIV
Very rare that you can say that we deserved something v Liverpool, but we certainly did #twitterclarets

But we conceded from a set piece and missed two really good chances
But a really good performance
We have to set our standards at that level in the remaining games
You can say the effort is there and we tried, but the quality isn't and that's where we fall down....1 win this season speaks volumes #twitterclarets https://t.co/Ua4H4A5MH4

I think this is all the fans have wanted all season, some serious fight and passion. Think Weghorst could be the signing of the season, hope he is okay. He helps drive the team. Brownhill, Pieters and Roberts were brilliant today. #twitterclarets

Think on the whole, especially in the first half, we were the better team today but when you get chances you’ve got to put them in the net, Liverpool were there for the taking today. Brownhill best player on the pitch easily. #twitterclarets

We didn’t win but it’s probably one of the best we’ve played for a while. #twitterclarets

Deserved a point ...... #twitterclarets

Brownhill’s best game in a Clarets shirt. Deserved a draw but quality tells in the end. #TwitterClarets
