Former East Lancs cricketer Paul Turner is set to become Ribblesdale League side Clitheroe's new professional for the 2008 season.
Turner, 29, who was the paid man at Orrell Red Triangle last season in the Liverpool Comp scoring 771 runs at an average of 36, has a verbal agreement with the Chatburn Road outfit.
Clitheroe secretary Neil Bolton said: "We've just got one or two minor details to sort out but we're delighted to have Paul on board and we're hoping he can make a major impact."
