BLACKBURN Rovers midfielder David Dunn swung into action when asked to help promote grassroots sport.
Blackburn brewer Daniel Thwaites launched the Lancaster Bomber Grassroots Sports Personality of the Year award two years ago.
This year, they recruited the support of Lancashire County Cricket Club and Blackburn Rovers.
Thwaites is looking for clubs and associations to put forward their nominations for the award, with anyone who has made a major contribution to grassroots sport being considered. The winner will receive a cheque for £2,000.
Dunn said: "When I used to play for my Sunday league team, everyone that was involved at grass roots level was a volunteer. They were a big part in my development as a footballer."
