MIDFIELDER Gary Roberts has revealed he would have considered re-joining Accrington Stanley on loan.
But the 23-year-old insists he has no intention of quitting the Championship on a permanent basis.
The Reds were rumoured to be weighing up a move for the former fans' favourite, but Roberts has dashed any hopes of a return to East Lancashire.
And, after setting up Ipswich's equaliser against Blackpool on Saturday, he was now looking forward to establishing himself in Jim Magilton's side.
He said: "I'm not ready to go back to League Two, and the manager knows I'm not ready for League Two.
"I just want to play football and the gaffer told me that if I got my head down and worked hard there was a place for me at Ipswich.
"If I had to go on loan to get games maybe I would, but I have come back in here and feel I did all right."
