Burnley and Rovers will learn their FA Cup third round opponents next week.
The second round takes place this weekend with round three set to take place between January 7 and January 10.
With Accrington Stanley having been knocked out in round one by Port Vale, Burnley and Rovers will be the East Lancashire representatives in round three when the Premier League and Championship teams enter.
The 20 Premier League clubs and 24 Championship sides will join the winners of the 20 second round ties, with the draw set to take place on Monday, December 6.
That will be during the coverage of Boreham Wood against St Alban’s City, although it is not yet clear what time the draw will be.
Rovers haven’t had the best recent record in the competition, yet to reach round four under Tony Mowbray following third round defeats to Hull City, Newcastle United, Birmingham City and Doncaster Rovers.
Burnley reached round five last season, only to suffer defeat at home to Bournemouth.
Rovers have lifted the FA Cup six times, most recently in 1928, while Burnley tasted success in 1913/14.
The Clarets face a trip to Leeds United to kick off 2022 on January 2, with the FA Cup tie coming ahead of the home visit of Leicester City on January 15.
Rovers saw their game with Huddersfield Town moved to January 2, while they face a trip to Cardiff City on January 15.
The fourth round will take place on the weekend of February 5 which would clash with Rovers’ trip to Swansea City, while Burnley are without a game.
