IAIN Dowie calls the place where counterpart Owen Coyle achieved hero status home'.

Living in Bolton, the Coventry manager has heard plenty about Coyle the player. Now they are preparing to go head-to-head in opposing dug-outs.

"I have spent a little bit of time with Owen Coyle, so I know him quite well and he's a hero where I live in Bolton," Dowie said.

"I am pleased he has got his opportunity and he likes to play the game in the right fashion. He plays very expansive football so it should be a good game.

"They have got Andy Gray, who is much sought after, and brought in Stanislav Varga and Wade Elliott is in good form. Gray and Blake are a partnership to worry about.

"It is a big game and it is a home game and we have got to start stamping our authority at home.

"I don't think they will come and shut up shop. I think they will come and play and it is for us to cope with that."

Coventry have struggled at home in recent weeks - a situation which Dowie is quickly hoping to rectify.

"We have got to get some home wins and make sure Fortress Ricoh happens," he said.

But Burnley go into tomorrow's game aiming to capitalise on ending a run of seven games without a win at home to Plymouth Argyle last weekend to close the gap on the top six.

"It was an important win over Plymouth from that aspect, because we want to be winning matches and going in the right direction," said Coyle.

"We're in, I think, a good position to move that on and step up a gear, and everybody will do their best to do that.

"We don't have a big squad, as we know, and we've been curtailed by injuries and suspensions, but, all credit to the lads that have come in, they've applied themselves very well."
