THE first week of the Sharon Murray Grand Prix darts competition has been completed.
John Phillips beat Keith Rambo' Lynch 5-0 - averaging 79.58 on his way to the final.
The standard of darts at the Cabin End pub was very high with 65 tons, 21 140s and two 180s The event has been organised by Keith Murray in memory of his wife who sadly die of a brain tumour.
Money raised from the event will go towards the Macmillan Nurses.
Keith thanked Mick Whittle, who marked the 1000 average games, and Holly who entered scores on the computer.
Danny Burns was MC for the evening while Arnie from the Florence donated the food and Cabin End landlord Barry and all those who supported the event.
Results - first round: Kyle 3 Graham 2, Keith Lynch 3 Macky 2, Jeff 3 Fred 2, John Phillips 3 Daz 2.
Semi finals: Keith Lynch 4 Kyle 2, John Phillips 4 Jeff 1.
Final: John Phillips 5 Keith Lynch 0.
The competition will be held at the Cabin End pub on Thursday evenings and will run over 12 weeks.
All 12 players taking part in the event are close friends of both Keith and Sharon.
