BLACKBURN Rovers are likely to keep hold of striker Jason Roberts until at least the end of the season, despite the striker being added to more Premier League wanted lists after his superb solo winner against Bolton Wanderers.

The Trotters themselves have now been included in a host of suitors, after the 29-year-old came off the bench to put the seal on a late fightback at the Reebok Stadium at the weekend.

That stunning goal has also prompted further enquiries, believed to be from Premier League clubs.

Fulham and Reading have been linked with the 29-year-old Grenada international, but Sunderland are understood not to be in the running, despite reports to the contrary.

However, Rovers are reluctant to let Roberts go in the January transfer window unless someone meets their valuation - believed to be between £3m-£4million - and they have a replacement lined up.

Neither situation has arisen at the moment, although Hughes has tracked a couple of targets.

Roberts put in a transfer request after finding his first team opportunities limited by Benni McCarthy and Roque Santa Cruz, but it was rejected by manager Mark Hughes.

And it now appears likely he will remain at Ewood Park until the summer.
