GRAHAM Alexander believes turning Burnley's home form around must be a real team effort - and that includes supoprters.

The Clarets defender admitted the players were inspired by the Turf Moor atmosphere that was gener-ated for the FA Cup third round clash with Arsenal last weekend.

And he has appealed for more of the same as they bid to end a run of nine games without a home win.

"We could tell just by going out for the warm-up that there was a big team in town," said the Scotland international.

"An atmosphere like that is something that players love to play in, and games like that, because it does put an edge on it.

"You win a throw-in and the crowd love it - it gives every player a pep-up for everything about the game.

"Players play better in atmospheres like that. Human beings as well feed on that adrenalin rush."

He added: "Sometimes it's a bit disappointing why it isn't like that week in, week out.

"But the players and supporters have both got the same part to play.

"We can't just raise our game for one game against Arsenal, we've got to do it every week.

"If we do that, we can bring teams like Arsenal to Turf Moor every week.

"That's the prize at the end of the season if we work hard enough.

"It's food for thought for players and supporters to generate the same atmosphere.

"I know players have their part to play in generating atmospheres, and the fans have as well."
