BURNLEY had several players away on international duty during the break, but how did they get on?

Chris Wood scored his 25th goal on the international stage as New Zealand recorded a 2-0 win against Curacao.

The forward found the bottom corner with a clinical strike following a quick break down the left wing.

Connor Roberts came off the bench as Wales were held to a 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic.

It was the defender’s first appearance for his country since suffering a groin injury against Denmark at the Euros.

Matej Vydra also featured - coming off the bench with 14 minutes to go - while Wayne Hennessey was an unused substitute.

Wales are back in action against Estonia tonight while the Czech Republic take on Belarus (KO 7:45).

Meanwhile, Bailey Peacock-Farrell – who is currently on loan at League One Sheffield Wednesday – played 90 minutes as Northern Ireland suffered a 2-0 defeat against Switzerland.

Ian Baraclough's men will be looking to bounce back when they travel to Bulgaria on Tuesday night (KO 7:45pm). 

Maxwel Cornet was absent from the Ivory Coast’s 3-0 win over Malawi after suffering a hamstring injury against Leicester City last month.

The former Lyon man could feature this evening when his side take on Malawi once again (KO 5pm).

And Nathan Collins was an unused substitute as the Republic of Ireland ran out 2-0 winners against Azerbaijan.

The Clarets return to Premier League action this weekend to take on reigning champions Manchester City at the Etihad.
