Burnley's 18-year-old striker Jay Rodriguez made his Stirling Albion debut against Celtic at Parkhead in the Scottish FA Cup fourth round.
The match came just a day after he joined the Scottish First Division club on loan until the end of the season.
The Burnley-born teenager, who will train with the Clarets during the week and only travel to Scotland for games, came off the bench in the 65th minute.
"That was nice," said Coyle.
"We sent Jay on loan to Stirling Albion on Friday and I think he came on for the last half-hour against Celtic in front of 60,000, so for an 18-year-old it's a fantastic debut."
