Manager John Coleman was left to reflect on the turning point in the game after seeing his Accrington Stanley side lose 2-0 at Stockport County.

Stanley conceded a goal from a corner taken after the first-half stoppage time had elapsed, and Coleman said: "We should've dealt with the corner but we shouldn't have had to deal with the corner.

Two or three weeks ago we were playing at home and winning 1-0 and we got a corner after the stoppage time had elapsed.

"The referee blew up for half-time and I went on record and went in and applauded him for it.

"I said that it didn't happen enough and it should because once time's up, time's up.

"(Today) he's put up a minute and decided to let them take a corner on two minutes ten seconds, which is wrong.

"He's turned round to our player and said 'you've got to defend the corner'.

"Well, there's no rule that says that when the ball goes out of play after time's up that you have to play on unless it's a penalty kick.

"That's the rules that I'm aware of and they weren't adhered to today.

"Unfortunately we were punished from that. "
