There's a lot of transfer talk going on at the moment.
If you believe all the speculation, then half of the team at Turf Moor is going to be sold and there's going to be a whole lot of players brought in.
Kyle Lafferty's name always gets mentioned and he's been linked to clubs both north and south of the border.
But I think, at this moment in time, he has to sit tight at Burnley.
In my opinion, the lad's valuation can only go up. He's still learning the game and there's no better place for him to do that then at Turf Moor.
Owen Coyle is a natural goalscorer himself and he can teach him all the ins and outs of football.
If he's worth £3 million just now, then in a couple of years, with a bit more coaching, he could be worth double that.
He's a great asset for Burnley and the good thing is we don't have to sell our best players any more.
Kyle staying is a win-win for both parties. There's no way I'd let him go.
And there's no way I'd let Andy Gray go either.
He's another one who has apparently been attracting the interest of other clubs, with Charlton said to be lining up offers.
His goals have dried up a bit over the last five or six games, but he's our main threat in the area.
We have to hold onto him, at least until we can find a replacement and, right now, it doesn't look like we can do that.
As far as players coming in, we missed out on bringing Richard Chaplow back to the club and that's a bit disappointing.
But I'm sure Owen has his eyes on a few players. He said himself he needs to freshen things up and there's a few more weeks for him to add one or two to the squad.
I suppose it's a case of watch this space.
