Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined the race to sign Blackburn Rovers striker Paul Gallagher.
The Championship club are one of several to have expressed an interest in the Scotland international, who recently returned to Rovers following a loan spell at Preston North End.
Preston are also interested in re-signing the 24-year-old - on loan rather than permanently - after he impressed during his time at Deepdale.
Manager Alan Irvine said: "Mark Hughes and I have agreed that we'll keep an eye on the situation and see if it's possible to bring him back.
"First and foremost, Paul would rather play for Blackburn Rovers.
"If he was doing that then I'm quite sure he wouldn't want to come back.
"But if he is not playing for them, then I hope that he would like to come back."
