FOR the second week running, a single Vinnie Braine goal was enough to give Padiham all the three points.
Half chances fell Padiham's way early in the game but it was Eccleshall who created the best chance on 24 minutes when Dwayne Spence got free and only a finger tip save by Storks' keeper Gavin King prevented the home forward from scoring.
But on 43 minutes, Padiham took the lead from the penalty spot when a push on Damien Morrison gave Braine the chance to open the scoring from 12 yards out.
Padiham nearly added a second just before the break when a Stuart Telfer corner found Andy Haworth but his back heel was cleared off the line.
Both teams had openings in the second half with Padiham coming closest on 72 minutes when Damian Ingham found Dave Holt but the nippy Padiham forward was denied by a finger tip save from Eccleshall keeper Rob Hackney.
