Gareth Southgate is a fine man who has made me very proud of our national team. His integrity and values have been a refreshing change in a game where they are not always evident.

Thank you for renewing my love of football. You and your team have been inspirational. The game was played beautifully by your lads with dignity and pride. The lads who took the penalties are all so courageous. Well done for giving your all. Even though it was not our year, we can stand proud to be supporting our lads and I, for one, can’t wait for the next match. Bravo all of you, your time will come. We are very proud of you.
