RIBBLESDALE Wanderers and Feniscowles lead the way in the Ribblesdale League after both made it three wins out of three.
Wanderers hosted Barnoldswick and, batting first, were bowled out for 126 with only Eddie Steinson, with 59, making a significant contribution so a shock was on the cards.
However in reply Barnoldswick were bowled out for just 94 with Jordan Britcliffe doing the damage taking 5-37.
Feniscowles continued their fine form with a win against Whalley.
Jake Errey(69) and Waqar Rafique(77) enjoyed an opening partnership of 164 as Fenicowles posted an impressive 231-7.
In reply Whalley’s openers Frankie Jackson and Declan Bailey also put together a century stand making 125 before the dismissal of Jackson for 47. Bailey (86) continued the fight as Whalley made a creditable197-8. Taiyub Asif was the pick of the bowlers taking 5-53, well supported by Mini Bhada who took 3-53.
Salesbury travelled to champions Settle defending an unbeaten start and batting first the visitors were dismissed for 174 with Liam Parkinson scoring 50.
In a tense finish, Settle got over the line with eight wickets down and five overs to spare. Callum Boardman taking three wickets.
Oswaldtwistle picked up their first victory of the season at Barnoldswick, who were also without a win.
Baxenden batted first and posted a score of 180-6. The innings was dominated by Aneeq Hussain who made 80.
In reply, Oswaldtwistle were set a reduced total of 157 due to eight overs being lost to a localised hailstorm and reached the reduced target with four wickets in hand, Daniel Hothersall top scoring.
Read also secured a first win against local rivals Padiham.
Padiham batted first and scored 166-9 - opener Jack Edgar top scoring with 65 while Joseph Halstead took 5-55.
Duncan Bennett (66no) and Joel Burnett (55) top scored as Read sealed victory.
And Cherry Tree enjoyed an eight-wicket win over Brinscall.
Batting first, Brinscall were bowled out for 137 with Mark Hadfield doing the damage taking 4-34.
In reply, Hadfield (50) and Jake Willacy (66no) put on 98 run second wicket stand which proved to be decisive.
