RIBBLESDALE Wanderers have shown their early-season title credentials as they made it two wins out of two.
After beating Whalley last weekend, last season’s Ribblesdale League runners-up eased to victory against Oswaldtwistle Immanuel.
Batting first, Ossie closed on 143 with Kurt Smithson and Daniel Hothersall both scoring 26 while there were three wickets each for Safyan Ahmed, Ryshon Williams and Ian Britcliffe.
Ribblesdale lost just one wicket as Mack Spencer (56no) and Andrew Needham (73no) guided them to victory.
Champions Settle, who sat out the opening weekend, began their defence with a solid win over Read.
Batting first, Settle scored 211-8 with John Davidson top scoring with 82. In reply, Read were dismissed for 124.
Salesbury made it two from two as they posted 308-8 against Baxenden with Joe Rawlinson making 99 and Andrew Mercer 92.
Liam Bedford then took five wickets as Baxenden were bowled out for 90.
Cherry Tree welcomed Whalley with both teams looking for their first win.
The hosts posted an impressive total of 217- 8, Charlie Elwood scoring 56 and Jake Willacy 37 while Tom Lawson took three wickets and there were two wickets each for Frankie Jackson and Richard Palmer.
In reply, Tom Lawson top scored for Whalley with 47, but Whalley were bowled out for 146, Ross Bretherton 4-41 doing most of the damage supported by two wickets each for Robert Ince and Owen Elwood.
Something had to give in the clash between Earby and Brinscall after they both won on the opening weekend.
And it was Earby who maintained their unbeaten start thanks largely to the efforts of Stephen Parry (6-29) as Brinscall were bowled out for 111, Phillip Jackson top scoring with 33 while Harry Brindle took four wickets.
In reply, Josh Yates (41) steered Earby to victory with four wickets in hand.
Feniscowles made it two out of two thanks to an impressive win over Padiham.
Batting first, Padham scored 188-7 with Nathan Whitehead and Ben Uttley top scoring with 31 as Mini Bhada took 5-51.
Bhada (31), Waquar Rafique (53), Mo Bhada (43no) and Ziyad Bhada (28no) then guided Fenny to victory.
