MINI Bhada scored a superb century as Feniscowles beat Read in the Thatchers Cider Ribblesdale League.
Bhada hit 16 fours and two sixes in a match-winning knock of 123 as Feniscowles posted a formidable total of 201-7.
In reply, Read were bowled out for 115 with Nizan Vaid the pick of the bowlers, taking 3-22.
Salesbury hosted Cherry Tree and batting first scored an impressive 195-7 with Liam Parkinson (41), Andrew Mercer (53) and Joe Rawlinson (33) all in the runs.
Ross Bretherton took three wickets and there were two apiece for Mark Hadfield and Jack Woolridge. In reply, Cherry Tree were dismissed for 133 with Mark Hadfield (23) and Daniel Lord (42no) the only batsmen to make a significant contribution – with Oliver Wetton doing most of the damage taking 5-46.
Baxenden were bowled out for 104 at Padiham with Nathan Whitehead and Toby Burrows taking three wickets each.
Padiham made light work of the run chase, with opener Owen Deakin Pickard (44no) and Jack Edgar (28) getting them home with an unbeaten century stand to give Padiham a 10-wicket victory.
In the highest scoring fixture of the weekend Ribblesdale Wanderers scored 240 at Whalley – with Andrew Needham (50), Mack Spencer (83) and Ryan Canning (47no) in fine form.
Whalley scored a creditable 200-9 with Rhyshon Williams taking five wickets.
Oswaldtwistle hosted Earby and, put in to bat, they lost wickets on a regular basis with Phil Howard top scoring with 20 as they were dismissed for 96.
Adam Hodge took 3-22, with two wickets each for Jake Hargreaves, Luke Hipgrave and Joseph Robinson.
Earby themselves found batting difficult and were reduced to 47-4 and 68-7 Luke Hipgrave making 22. But Adam and Nigel Hodge with nine and 16 not out respectively saw Earby home to a tense victory by three wickets.
Barnoldswick batted first at Brinscall but found it tough going as they lost wickets on a regular basis with Jonny Beech top scoring with 27 in a 122 all out total.
Sam Maclachlan (3-32) was the pick of the bowlers.
Brinscall also found runs hard to come by and were reduced to 40-4. But opener Liam Winstanley (28no) anchored the innings and received good support from Stuart Parker (28) and James McVite (27) to see out a four-wicket win.
Matthew Simpson (4-41) was Barnoldswick’s best bowler on the day.
