MARK Hughes is hoping a win over Chelsea tomorrow could help to re-ignite Blackburn Rovers' season.
And, despite conceding eight goals in their last two games, he remained optimistic and insisted there were plenty of positives to take from Tuesday night's extra-time defeat to Arsenal in the Carling Cup.
Hughes said: "We need a bit of a boost just to settle everybody down.
"We've had a spell of games against the top sides and we've done okay in parts, we've not seen the performances through to a positive conclusion.
"That's what's frustrating us at the moment.
"I watched the game a few times after the event the other night against Arsenal and, take away from the first half when we really couldn't get close to them, I thought we came out second half and really had a go, asked questions of them and got back on level terms."
