ACCRINGTON Stanley assistant manager Jimmy Bell is predicting a busy January when the transfer window opens.
With Stanley sitting comfortably in the middle of the League Two table ahead of Saturday's home game against Shrewsbury, Bell said he thought boss John Coleman would like another two or three players for the Reds to be able to make an assault on the play-offs.
He said: "It's going to be a busy time because there are a lot of new managers out there looking for players.
"We're looking everywhere - from non-league to academies and first year professionals at Premier League and Championship clubs.
"We've got our eye on a centre-half from a non-league club and have a few other irons in the fire.
"But we'll maybe have to wheel and deal a little bit and get a few out to bring the new players in."
One player mentioned is the possible loan return of Gary Roberts to the Fraser Eagle Stadium.
But Bell said that no further ground had been made with the Ipswich Town winger.
