Rovers Ladies have secured three players on contracts until the end of next season – including vice captain Natasha Fenton.
The midfielder, Rovers’ longest-serving player with 160 appearances to her name, heads the list of players now contracted to the club.
There are seven in total, three until the end of next season, as Rovers continue to progress in the second tier of the women’s game.
They now have a month break from Women’s Championship action but have used the time to tie down three players to deals until 2022.
Manager Gemma Donnelly said: “It took her a number of seasons before she really cemented down her position a couple of seasons ago and now she’s a key figure in our starting 11,” the Ladies boss said.
“She offers experience, even at a young age and she’s Rovers through and through.”
Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Emma Doyle has also agreed an 18-month deal.
Signed from Everton in the summer, she has made 16 appearances this season and become a key player in the side.
And Donnelly said of the 21-year-old: “It’s amazing news and she’s been fully deserving of it. Emma has been a consistent starter throughout the season.
“She wanted to challenge herself in first team football and I think she’s done that and is worthy of a contract. It’s credit to her for earning one of those hard-fought contracts.”
Completing the latest round of contract news is Annabel Blanchard who only signed for the club in January.
However, she has been rewarded with an 18-month deal, the England Under-19 international having made her debut against London City Lionesses earlier this month.
“I was an admirer of Annabel’s from afar for a number of seasons, so to be able to bring her here in the first place was excellent for us,” Donnelly explained.
“Now we’ve confirmed a deal with Annabel which will keep her here until 2022, it bolsters the squad and it adds to the competition with her colleagues within the centre of midfield.
“I’m really pleased that Annabel has decided to come to us and grow with us on this journey as well.”
Rovers, who drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace last time out, and sit seventh in the standings with 17 points from their 14 games.
