RAMSBOTTOM United dropped one place to 13th in the Vodkat League Division One after going down at high-flying Flixton.
But it was a tale of two halves for the Rams in Greater Manchester.
The first-half saw United dominate much of the possession and with more composure in front of goal they would have been in front at the half-time interval.
However, two second-half goals from Flixton condemned them to their second successive away loss.
Jonathan Maloney gave the home side the lead on 55 minutes, before Anthony Hargreaves added a second on nine minutes.
Flixton had two players sent off late on.
