DAVID and Tom Wallbank defied the dreadful weather to finish 14th overall in the gruelling Grizedale Stages Rally.
The Clitheroe and District Motor Club members also finished fourth in class in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo5 from a start of 51.
More than 5,000 people turned up to watch the thrilling event on a snowy and rain-soaked day.
And the tricky conditions helped make the course as tough as ever.
David Bogie and Kevin Rae won the rally, while David Shuttleworth and Simon Megaw came second.
Roger Harrison, press officer for the Coppermines Grizedale Stages Rally 2007 and a member of Furness District Motor Club which organised it, said: "There were some sorry wrecks going home on trailers."
Adam Morgan (Ribchester) and Chris Kenyon (Clitheroe) finished 38th overall in a Ford Escort Mk1 despite nearly going off on stage two.
Ian Winstanley (Colne) and Neil Bye (Burnley) finished 48th overall.
