BURNLEY failed to make a breakthrough in the first-half of tonight's Championship clash against rock-bottom QPR at Turf Moor.
Alan Mahon was close to giving the Clarets the edge just three minutes before half-time when his rasping 25-yard shot cannoned against the base of the upright.
But the Clarets were mostly subdued in a tepid opening 45 minutes, with both goalkeepers untested.
Mahon had two earlier efforts in the half sail wide, while at the other end, Rowan Vine failed to make the most of a defensive error when he fired over from a decent position.
