Boxer Joe Calzaghe has been voted the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year.
The Welshman emerged triumphant following a public phone vote conducted during tonight's show at the NEC in Birmingham.
Lewis Hamilton was voted into second place with boxer Ricky Hatton in third.
