Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes currently has two players in on trial with a view to freshening up his squad in January.
The first is a South African midfield player - believed to be Lance Davids from Swedish side Djurgårdens.
The second is thought to be French winger Dino Djiba from FC Metz.
Hughes said: "We've only had them in for a couple of days so we are just looking at them at the moment.
"They are guys we had the opportunity to bring in and look closely at, which is what we like to do."
