Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts hosted a gala dinner at The Lowry Hotel last night as part of his Foundation charity to use football as a way of helping children and young people in the UK and the Caribbean.
Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand, his brother Anton and Bobby Zamora from West Ham, Wigan's Emile Heskey and several of Roberts' team mates at Rovers attended the dinner along with Aston Villa's Zat Knight and Portsmouth's Sean Davis.
Former footballer Chris Kamara hosted the evening, which included an auction and raffle, with all proceeds going to the charity.
