OWEN Coyle is on a mission to bring some home comfort to Turf Moor.

The new Burnley manager has already made his mark on the Championship, after guiding the Clarets to back-to-back wins against leaders Watford then fourth-placed Charlton in the space of four days.

But Coyle fears those results will count for nothing if they cannot replicate their recent success on the road on their own patch, starting with Leicester City tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

"Our target for the season is starting to chalk up some home wins. I think we've been great on our travels, which is all well and good, but we've got a number of matches coming up in December at home, and we've got a game in hand so we're looking to capitalise on that as well," said Coyle, who kicked off his Burnley career with a 0-0 draw against Stoke City at Turf Moor just over a week ago.

"Against Stoke there weren't any goals but I thought the level of play was tremendous, passing and moving, and we went and scored two goals during the week (at Watford) on the back of that. There will be games when they don't go in; keepers have good games, things go by the post, but it's important we keep believing in what we're doing in passing and moving the ball.

"We have to retain that belief and know that if you do that you will get opportunities.

"I think they know they're good players - I've stressed that to them. I think they've shown that we're a good team, and we have to take that on again.

"It would be stupid or naive to think we're the finished article - far from it. We've got enormous work to do, but the lads know that, they're responding and we're trying to take it on. We'll keep striving to better ourselves, and that starts tonight at home against Leicester.

"We want to get those three points and keep moving in the right direction."
